Before 8am on Sunday, 1st May, 16 Beaver and Cub Scouts and their leaders all met in Old Deer Car Park to start their journey to visit Cluster Camp, a camp that had been organised between our scout district Thameside Grand Union (TGU) and the West London District, that was being held over the Bank Holiday weekend at the Hargreaves Scout Camp site, in Romford. So after a long train ride to East London and then bus drive we arrived at the camp site
Many activities had been organised for the day, such as Climbing, Abseiling, Pedals Cars, Water Walkers, Bouncy Castle, Inflatable Football, an Assault Course, but with so many activities to try, they had some difficulty to know what to do first, but I think the Climbing Wall won out, followed by a close second, by the Water Walkers. I think, as you can see a great time was enjoyed by all, including some of the leaders who had a go at climbing the wall as well.
So as the day drew to an end we said our farewells and with some tired looking young people started our homeward journey, arriving back in Richmond at around 8pm and so hand back some happy, but very tired young people.
Baghera,
