This year’s Remembrance Day Parade was much larger than usual as 390 school children wearing sashes bearing the names of those on Isleworth’s memorial joined the parade.
3rd Osterley were very well represented with leaders and young people from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Intrepid Explorers in attendance. The young people were, as always, very well behaved and took in the full importance and significance of the day.
Although we were allocated a parade position behind the schools and therefore a long way from the Pride of Murray Pipe Band, as we arrived at St Bridget’s we were positioned front and centre with our sectional flags. Two 3rd Osterley Cub Scouts and an Intrepid Explorer Scout laid their wreaths on behalf of the group and unit respectively and other members later laid crosses on the memorial.
Many thanks to all who attended for your smart appearance, good behaviour and taking the time to be part of this important annual event.
